Introverted, single, socially awkward? Feeling lost may not be a psychological problem, but watch for these signs

I'm a bit of an introvert, currently single, and have never been very social. About three or four months ago, I began to realize that I don't know what I want, and I feel that my current job has no value, and I can't get interested in many things. My life feels like it has no direction, I am lost, and I am particularly negative about things, and I don't even want to go to work. Do I have a psychological problem?

Hi friend! Seeing the confusion you've shared, first of all, I'd like to give you a warm hug. Can feel your low mood lately, it's normal, many people go through similar phases.

You said that starting three or four months ago, you became vague about what you wanted and your interest diminished.

Did you encounter some major changes in your life during that time?

Examples include parental relationship changes, pets leaving, or family health issues.

Because these events can sometimes make us lose enthusiasm for everything and feel like the future is blurry with no hope in sight.

If you're not sure if you have a psychological problem, try taking the SCL90 Symptom Self-Rating Scale first to see.

Then take the results to a psychiatry department in a regular tertiary care hospital so that a doctor can help you with further tests to rule out potential problems.

I really hope you find a solution sooner rather than later and get out of the mess you're in.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

I hope my sharing can inspire and help you in some way. I am the respondent learning well everyday.

The world and I are with you on your mental health journey. All the best!
